2003 Director's Cup Region IV Regional Tournament

Pumas play extremely well despite missing some players (Javier and Kevin), missing coaches (Ray for 3 games, Javier gone the whole weekend), and some injuries (Alvar misses games 3 & 4, David/Hugo/Morfett nursing injuries). Games are played with the limited substitution rule (once subbed out in a half, the player can not return until next half). Four players (Eduardo, Abel, Ricardo, & Oreo) from Javier's younger Mt. Hamilton Mexico team and new Pumas - Andres, Morfett, & Juan help fill out the roster. Great team defense and skillful passing displayed all weekend result in 3 shut-outs, 19 goals scored, and a Regional Championship! The Pumas are now eligible to travel to Lawerence, Indiana in early August for the National Championship tournament against the three other regions.
